Lunchtime Lecture: Daily Dangers and Challenges of Mail Delivery

Neither snow nor rain nor DOGBITES?!?

May has traditionally been National Dog Bite Prevention Week and the United States Postal Service reports that the incidence of dog attacks on letter carriers is actually on the rise! Since letter carriers are often associated with dog bites, this news reinforces that stereotype but also gives a chance to discuss all the various and unique challenges letter carriers face daily as “…these couriers complete their appointed rounds…” no matter what!

Join us as we welcome a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, who will speak about the risk of dog attacks and other challenges that letter carriers face daily. Coffee and treats will be served.
