Please join the National Chamber Ensemble for a truly moving concert of music for the soul! The NCE season continues as Soprano Aundi Marie Moore takes the listeners on an incredible journey of African-American musical culture through Spirituals, Art Songs and Spiritual inspired instrumental music. Aundi Marie Moore is quickly establishing herself as one of America’s leading young sopranos. The Washington Post hails her as possessing a voice of “clarion beauty.” Ms. Moore is an alumnus of the Washington National Opera’s Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist Program.

Ms. Moore has been heard in performance with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Washington National Opera under the baton of Maestro Placido Domingo, LOpera de Monte Carlo, Salzburg Music Festival, Virginia Opera and many more. She also sang God Bless America for Baltimore Orioles versus the New York Yankees game on the opening day of the Major League Baseball season.

Joining Ms. Moore for this performance will be Carlos Rodriguez (piano), Leo Sushansky (violin/artistic director), and Lukasz Szyrner (cello).

Praised by the Washington Post for being “Delightful…abundant in jovial wit.”, The National Chamber Ensemble, Artisphere’s Resident Ensemble, is redefining the meaning of “chamber music.” With its creative six seasons of programming, incorporating tango, ballet, jazz, guitar, opera, children’s choruses, stage sets and multimedia with traditional classical fare, the ensemble attracts a whole new audience while keeping traditionalists happy! The concerts are fun, inspiring, educational, listener-friendly and offer one of the area’s most enjoyable musical experiences.
