Acclaimed poet, critic and academic (and Jodie’s mentor) Robert Mezey will share from his large body of work. Robert has received numerous awards including the 2002 Poets Prize for Collected Poems: 1952-1999
Jodie Hollander was raised in a family of classical musicians. Her work hasappeared in publications such as The Poetry Review, The Dark Horse, The Rialto,Verse Daily, The Warwick Review, The Manchester Review, Australia’s Best Poems,2011, and Australia’s Best Poems of 2015. Her debut pamphlet, The HumaneSociety, was released with Tall-Lighthouse in 2012. She is the recipient of aFulbright Fellowship in South Africa, and was awarded a MacDowell Colonyfellowship in 2015.
About Robert Mezey
Robert Mezey’s honors and awards include a Robert Frost Prize, a BassineCitation, a PEN Prize, and fellowships from the Ingram Merrill Foundation, theGuggenheim Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts. He received anhonorary doctorate from the World Congress of Poets. Mezey has taught atvarious institutions, including Case Western Reserve University; Franklin &Marshall College; California State University, Fresno; and the University ofUtah. From 1975 to 1999, he was at Pomona College, where he served as a professorof English and poet-in-residence.
