In response to the Navy Yard tragedy, Saint George’s Church will offer a time of prayer and healing on Wednesday, 18 September at Noon and at 7:00pm.

From our Rector, the Rev. Shearon Williams:

Dear Friends,

Our prayers are with everyone who was affected by the tragedy at the Navy Yard yesterday. Saint George’s will have two services tomorrow to provide a place of prayer and healing. Each service will last approximately 40 minutes.

Wednesday, September 18th

-Noon Eucharist

-7:00 p.m. Prayer Vigil with the Laying on of Hands, Lighting of Prayer Candles and Music

O God of peace, you have taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and confidence shall be our strength: By the might of your Spirit lift us, we pray, to your presence, where we may be still and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Yours in Christ,
