Come aboard WalkArlington’s mobile, walking classroom! Join us on May 25 as we visit Rosslyn to learn about street design from a transportation engineer.
When you’re out and about, you’re probably not thinking about how sidewalks, land use, and street connectivity influence your experience and enjoyment of public spaces. On this walk, transportation engineer Dan Nabors will change the way you think about planning, engineering, and design using real-world examples. Dan is the Assistant Bureau Chief for Arlington County’s Transportation Engineering and Operations Bureau and a dynamic speaker who explains complex topics simply and clearly (we’ve seen him in action before!) so come ready to have fun and learn. He’ll be joined by staff from the Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID), who have collaborated with him on several recent projects.
