Yorktown High School auditorium

5200 Yorktown Boulevard

Arlington, Virginia 22207

You have another chance to see The Lottery, performed by The Yorktown Theatre classes, on January 19th, at 7:00 pm in the Yorktown auditorium. This will be the last performance before the Theatre classes take this show to the Virginia High School League competition on January 21, 2017. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this compelling show, directed by Bailey Nassetta, a Yorktown graduate! The performance is free and open to the public.
The Lottery is a one-act play by Brainerd Duffield that was adapted from the original short story by Shirley Jackson. It tells the dramatic story of a small town that holds a unique lottery every year in June to insure a plentiful harvest for the following year.
