Wednesday night more than 50 people packed into the newly renovated lobby of Clarendon Animal Care to cut the ribbon on the veterinary clinic’s expanded facility.
Co-owners Drs. Natasha Ungerer and Kayleen Gloor thanked the Arlington Chamber of Commerce as well as Arlington Women Entrepreneurs and the Arlington community in general for being so welcoming and supportive as they got off the ground two and a half years ago, and since. “We are especially thankful for and proud of the awesome team we have the pleasure of working with, and of our wonderful clients who entrust our team with the care of their furry family members,” said Dr. Natasha Ungerer in her remarks before cutting the ribbon.
Attendees celebrated the growth of Clarendon Animal Care and recognized the business’ commitment to the greater community.
“The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is able to offer exemplary care for te animals in our shelter and in the community thanks to our wonderful supporters like Clarendon Animal Care. We are proud to work so closely with CAC, we thank them for all that they do for us and the animals, and we are thrilled to see their practice thrive and expand,” said Sam Wolbert, the new President and CEO of AWLA.
Clarendon Animal Care, a full service veterinary clinic in the heart of Arlington, expanded into adjacent vacant retail space, adding an additional 1400 square feet to accommodate the young growing business. The two and half year old women-owned veterinary practice is now home to five exam rooms and offers more than double the reception area to better serve their clients and patients. There are additional dedicated parking spots as well.
Mike Rosenow, Membership Director for the Arlington Chamber of Commerce participated as both a Chamber representative and a client of the clinic. He said, “the Arlington Chamber of Commerce was proud to celebrate with Clarendon Animal Care on their new expanded office. In just two and a half short years, they were able to partner with the community, win our 2017 Service Small Business of the Year Award and expand their staff and office space. We could not be happier for all of their success!”
Guests enjoyed a champagne reception that featured food and drinks from neighboring Clarendon businesses: Screwtop Wine Bar and Bakeshop, and custom cookies from Esquire Confections. Clarendon Animal Care is dedicated to doing business with other local businesses, and is an active member in the Clarendon Alliance with Dr. Natasha Ungerer serving on the Board of the organization.

We especially appreciate their ongoing involvement in the community, from Natasha serving on the CA Board to their involvement organizing the Bark in the Park Event, as well as their work with other community groups throughout the County. They met while working in a hospital in Maryland and had a vision of a owning their own veterinary clinic where they could provide high quality, individualized care to their patients.
