Finally – Dedicated Communal Co Work Space for Families, Complete with On Premises Childcare.
With all of the buzz around changing demands in workspace options, co working has become a common option for professionals in most metro areas around the world.
While several new co working spaces are popping up throughout the NOVA/WDC region, options have yet to be introduced with a specific focus on families – until now. Co Work Co Play, in the heart of Clarendon, finally offers a solution for co working moms and dads. CoWork CoPlay offers a communal workspace for families in a traditional co working environment within one area of their space and features on demand childcare within the same facility.
While parents are not required to bring their kids while they are co working and customers don’t have to be a parent to co work, the close proximity of on premises childcare responds to one of the most common challenges facing families in today’s society – affordable childcare.
Formerly Sprout at Saffron, a similar model that required parents to work on premises while their children participated in a supervised space, this relaunch of a new and improved business model, features a newly designed, dedicated co working space, significantly expanded hours, an onsite cafe and an option to leave the premises for children who meet the age and developmental thresholds.
According to founder and creator, Saphira Ortega, who also created Sprout at Saffron, “What parents really needed was more options throughout the week to participate in our offerings and the flexibility to leave the premises while their children are safely playing and learning.” Saphira noted that “We were all able to come up with a solution to adapt the existing regulatory requirements to this unique and forward thinking business model.”
Reservations are recommended to ensure availability for the CoWork component, though space is limited and availability is on a first come first served basis. For the CoPlay element, advanced registration and reservations are required.
