Art House 7 Camp Week 1 (ages 5-7 and 8-11)

Join us at Art House 7 this summer for a fun-filled week of art camps! From June 17th-21st we offer 3 different camps for ages 5-11: Clay Creations, Drawing & Printmaking, and Arts & Crafts! See the descriptions below and visit our website for more information. Early drop-off and extended-day options are available.

Clay Creations: Welcome to Clay Creations, where young artists dive into the exciting world of clay sculpting and pottery! Our week-long camp is designed to spark imagination and nurture creativity while exploring the versatile medium of clay. Campers will learn a variety of hand-building techniques, including pinch, coil, and slab construction, to create whimsical creatures, functional pottery and/or three-dimensional sculptures.

Drawing & Printmaking: Vincent Van Gogh said, “I sometimes think there is nothing so delightful as drawing.” In this summer week, campers will get to experience the fun and discover the joys of drawing. Campers will use common and uncommon modes of drawing. They might draw with long sticks, silverpointed pens, charcoal, pastels, ink, and colored pencils. Surfaces can vary too. Besides paper, kids might draw on fabric, wood, or stone. They will experiment with drawing into or onto a hard metal/plastic or soft rubber plate and printing the image. Rolling their plate through the printing press and seeing what they drew transferred to a piece of paper is like magic. We want our campers to fall in love with drawing, creating, and experimenting in this drawing-filled week!

Arts & Crafts: Kids will spend one hour playing games and having snacks. The other half of the camp they will be doing arts and crafts. In both camps, they will be with high school and college-age counselors.
