Beginner Japanese Woodblock Printmaking (Mokuhanga) Workshop at Art House 7

Join us at Art House 7 to learn the art of Mokuhanga, a method of Traditional Japanese woodblock printmaking. It uses non-toxic, water-based inks and wooden plates. Mokuhanga has several different ways to produce an image, and in this class you will learn one of the most basic Mokuhanga types–i.e. how to print an image with one Shina wood plate and multiple colors. You will learn how to carve a design on wood and print on paper all by hand, one color at a time. No prior experience of printmaking is needed.

For more details on registration, please visit our website! The Beginner Japanese Woodblock Printmaking (Mokuhanga) Workshop will take place at Art House 7 on April 27th from 1-3pm.
