The Arlington County Police Department is seeking witnesses that can provide more information about an “assault by mob” and robbery that happened on Saturday, Aug. 1 in Clarendon.
A 22-year-old man was attacked between 2-2:30 a.m. at the corner of Wilson Blvd and N. Filmore Street. He was hit on the back of the head and lost consciousness, police say.
The man was transported to Virginia Hospital Center for treatment of injuries. His driver’s license, military ID and cash were stolen.
At least one witness came to the man’s aid, but he left the scene, according to a police report.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING/ABDUCTION, 150817062, 1500 block of N. Longfellow Street. At approximately 10:21 p.m. on August 17, a male subject forced entry into a known victim’s residence. The female victim attempted to escape but was pulled back into her apartment and assaulted. The victim was transported to Virginia Hospital Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. A magistrate issued warrants for John Simpson Jr., 32, of Stafford VA, for Malicious Wounding and Abduction. The suspect is still at large.
ASSAULT BY MOB/MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 150817006, 4800 block of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 2:00 a.m. on August 17, a 38 year-old male victim was assaulted and knocked unconscious by four male subjects following an argument. The victim was transported to Fairfax Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his twenties, approximately 5’5″ tall. He was wearing a cowboy hat and cowboy boots. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his twenties, approximately 5’5″ tall and wearing a red shirt. The third suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his twenties, approximately 5’5″ tall. He was wearing a blue, cross designed shirt. The fourth suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his twenties, approximately 5’5″ tall and wearing a white/blue shirt.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 150815016, 800 block of N. Randolph Street. At approximately 4:00 a.m. on August 15, an altercation ensued and two male victims were punched and thrown to the ground. Azmi Hani Sabah, 34, of Arlington VA, was arrested and warrants were obtained for Malicious Wounding.
ROBBERY, 150814028, 4000 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:30 p.m. on August 14, an unknown suspect stole three laptops from Virginia Tech Applied Research Company. The suspect is described as a black male in his 40-50’s, approximately 5’10” tall, and weighed 180 lbs. He was wearing a black suit, black dress shirt, and black dress shoes at the time of the incident.
ROBBERY, 150815060, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 9:00 p.m. on August 15, a male subject was seen concealing two pairs of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut. The subject pushed and attempted to choke an employee who confronted him before he was eventually detained. Terry Malik Baker, 44, of Washington D.C., was arrested and warrants were obtained for Robbery, Grand Larceny, and Larceny with Intent to Sell. He is being held without bond.
ROBBERY/ABDUCTION WITH INTENT TO DEFILE, 150813047, 800 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 10:30 p.m. on August 13, an unknown male subject carrying a stick, grabbed a female victim’s wrist and attempted to drag her into the woods. The suspect fled with the victim’s cellphone after she screamed for help. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his twenties, approximately 5’5″ tall, with a slim build and short hair. He was wearing black pants and a black shirt at the time of the incident.
BURGLARY, 150812037, 900 block of S. 15th Street. Between 4:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on August 12, an unknown subject entered a residence while a couple was sleeping and stole a MacBook Pro laptop and an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, approximately 5’11” tall, and was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans.
BURGLARY, 150812063, 2700 block of N. Beechwood Street. Between 12:00 p.m. on August 9 and 9:00 p.m. on August 12, an unknown suspect(s) entered a residence through a doggie door and ate the homeowner’s popsicles and whipped cream. The suspect(s) proceeded to play

BURGLARY, 150815012, 1600 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 2:19 a.m. on August 15, two unknown suspects forced entry into a laundry room and stole cash from the money box. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black jacket, gray shorts, white shoes, and a ski mask. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a dark jacket, gloves, and a ski mask.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY, 150817038, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. Between 9:45 a.m. on August 14 and 2:25 p.m. on August 17, an unknown subject(s) cut the lock to a storage room and stole several toiletries and office equipment. There is no suspect(s) description.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 150818008, 1900 block of N. Uhle Street. At approximately 7:00 a.m. a male subject was seen masturbating in front of a daycare. Felipe Jones Degado, 45, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with public masturbation. He is being held without bond.
GRAND LARCENY AUTO, 150813022, 700 block of S. 12th Street. At approximately 11:20 a.m. on August 13, officers responded to a located stolen vehicle and found a male suspect in the car. Justin Alexander Shockley, 23, of Washington D.C., was arrested and taken before a Magistrate. Warrants for Grand Larceny Auto and Driving Without an Operators License were issued and he is being held without bond.
GRAND LARCENY AUTO, 150813032, 2000 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway. At approximately 4:15 p.m. on August 13, officers responded to a located stolen vehicle. The suspect exited the vehicle and attempted to flee. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody. Stephan Eric Townes, 26, of Alexandria VA, was arrested and warrants for Grand Larceny Auto and Drive Suspended were issued. He is being held without bond.
GRAND LARCENY MOPED, 150816007, 2300 block of N. 11th Street. Between 3:00 p.m. on August 15 and 12:30 a.m. on August 16, two male subjects stole three mopeds. After searching the area officers found a male suspect on one of the stolen mopeds. Moises Alexander Delcid, 21, of Washington D.C., was arrested and warrants were issued for three counts of Grand Larceny.
