This week’s Pet of the Week is Mr. Rex Fluffkins, or Rex for short. This young tabby cat has a bit of a dual personality. While he’s playful and energetic during the day, he enjoys relaxing with his parents in the evening.
From dressing up for Halloween to showing his romantic side with some late-night television, Rex loves being himself and having fun.
Here’s what Rex’s parents had to say about the spunky kitty:
Mr. Rex Fluffkins is a two-year-old tabby cat who has brought so much joy into his parents’ lives with his sparkling personality, boundless energy, and ridiculous hijinks. Rex was adopted from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria in January 2015, and he immediately captured his parents’ hearts with his confidence, friendliness, and mischievous nature.
When he’s not busy perching atop bookshelves, cabinets, or windowsills, Rex is exceptionally skilled at acrobatically flying through the air to chase his favorite toy. He has successfully completed a 720 in trying to capture his toy; however, he’s still working on nailing the landing. He’s hoping to be ready in time to qualify for the 2018 Winter Olympics. His other hobbies include eating treats and splashing water with his paw as it comes out of the faucet.
In the evenings, Rex is a mellow fellow — he can frequently be found laying atop his favorite leopard-print blanket, preferably on his mom’s lap while she watches TV. His favorite show seems to be The Bachelor (much to his dad’s chagrin). He is so good natured that he even allowed himself to be dressed up as a taco for Halloween.
