Arlington high school sports schedule for Nov. 1-7

Arlington high schools have a full week of sports ahead, including many playoff events.

There will be no football games Friday night (Nov. 1)  involving Arlington teams, because of the observance of a no-play date for Fairfax County schools owing to the Diwali Hindu festival.

Arlington public-school teams are playing Fairfax teams this weekend in football, so those contests will be on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 2) instead.

Other events include district, conference and region playoffs events with action in volleyball, field hockey and cross-country.
