Arlington high schools have a much less busy week of fall sports action ahead, but there are postseason tournaments still in progress for some teams.
There will be two football playoff games Friday night (Nov. 15) involving three Arlington teams, plus the semifinals of the Class 6 state girls field hockey tournament for the Yorktown Patriots.
The ice hockey season continues for Washington-Liberty and Yorktown, and some basketball and wrestling scrimmages get started for the winter sports campaign.

Field Hockey
• Yorktown vs. Fairfax at Ocean Lakes High School in state-tourney semifinals in Virginia Beach, 5 p.m.
SATURDAY, NOV. 16
Field Hockey
• Class 6 state championships at Ocean Lakes High School, 4 p.m.
Cross Country
• Class 6 girls and boys state meets at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, 10:30 and 11:15 a.m.
Wrestling
• Washington-Liberty, Yorktown at Wakefield scrimmage, 2 p.m.
