A light glaze of ice is possible throughout much of the D.C. area and Maryland, especially on elevated and untreated surfaces, the National Weather Service warned on social media.

The wintry precipitation is expected to arrive around 7-9 a.m. on Christmas Eve, exiting midday.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Arlington, D.C. and other surrounding areas.
