The Arlington Tigers boys gymnastics program had a strong showing at the recent Virginia State Championships in Lynchburg.
Alex Epstein was one of the top individual performers, winning the all-around competition at the platinum level and helping the Tigers win the state team title at that level.
Epstein won the floor exercise event with a 10.1 score. He also won the rings (9.8), the vault (10.8) and the high bar (9.7). Epstein was second on the parallel bars (9.6) and third on the pommel horse (9.4).
Other top Tigers at the Platinum level were Michael Staren, Ryan Hutt, Adrian Toldedo and Fox Baker. They were all top all-around finishers and won some individual events.
At the Club Gold level, Gavin Kraft, Kian Hajiha and Julia Hefron helped the Tigers finish first by each winning an event.
Top Tigers at the Level 3, Division 1 category were Cooper Pau, Ezra Black, Sebastian Garcia and Mihir Kundu. Alex Garcell and Cooper Heyes had success at Level 3 Division 2.
At Level 4 Division 1, the Tigers finished second in the team scoring, led by Jordan Christofek, Ian Braverman and Dean Munoz.
The Level 4 Division 2, the Tigers team of Jordy Pau, Maddex Monroe, Charlie Rosenberger, Jacob Huie and Graham Brayton-Lewis finished first.
The Level 5 Division 1 Tigers were another team champion with Rosha Totakura, Austin Lessard and Alan Glosh leading the way. The Level 5 Division 2 team of Nicholas Bartl, Toby Chen and Samuel Henderson placed second.
The Tigers were champions at the Level 6 Division 1 category. Avyel Nimoh and Colter Doran led the way.
The Tigers won the team crown as well at Level 7. Misha Rendak, Hirad Hosseinkhani, Nikolas Farr, Dante Jaramillo and Charles Morrison were the gymnasts.
The Level 8 Tigers were champions with Arthur Pedan leading the way by winning the all-around.
At Level 9, top Tigers were Aydin Guleyupoglu and Jack Ezzelle.
