All-day festivities in honor of Cinco de Mayo are coming to Shirlington this weekend, shutting down a portion of Campbell Avenue.
An outdoor celebration with live music and food deals is happening at Guapo’s Restaurant on Saturday. The party at 4028 Campbell Avenue starts at 11 a.m. and will last all day.
Guapo’s is serving tacos and drinks outside
- The festival includes a live band, DJ and T-shirt giveaways, a manager told ARLnow.
- An outdoor “express menu” will have $8 beers, $7 El Corazon tequila shots and 20-ounce margaritas for $20. Nine kinds of tacos will go for $7 each.
- The restaurant will offer its usual menu indoors. It will also celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Saturday, May 5, without live music.
To accommodate the festivities, a portion of eastbound Campbell Avenue between S. Randolph Street and S. Quincy Street will be shut down from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
