A yacht-themed party is coming to Shirlington this weekend

Live yacht rock tunes and dining specials are coming to The Village at Shirlington for a night of nautical-themed fun this Saturday.

The shopping center at 2700 S. Quincy Street is hosting a yacht party from 5-7 p.m., complete with a raffle, live music by the cover band YotRox and dining specials.

Participating businesses include Copperwood Tavern, which will offer 50% off its summer porch punch cocktail, and Palette 22, which plans to host an outdoor cookout with specials on grilled bites. Dogma Bakery will also host a booth with goat milk drinks and mahi mahi, salmon and pollock treats for dogs and cats.

Other dining and drink specials during the night can be found at Guapo’s, Astro Beer Hall, Corso Italian and Taco Bamba.

The Village at Shirlington also plans to raffle away over $500 in gift cards to local businesses.

The party will prompt a pair of road closures from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

  • Campbell Avenue, from S. Quincy Street to the Harris Teeter alleyway
  • S. Randolph Street, from the Dudley’s Sport and Ale parking lot to the alleyway behind CVS

Traffic is expected to be impacted in and around the immediate area and motorists are reminded to anticipate extended travel times and seek alternate routes to reduce road congestion. Street parking around the event will be restricted and motorists should be on the lookout for temporary “No Parking” signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed.
