It's a Wonderful NightIt’s a Wonderful Night

The Drafthouse hosts two nights of its Christmas celebration, screening “It’s a Wonderful Life” for $6.50, with half of proceeds going to the Patrick Henry ES PTA. Free movie tickets to those in Christmas costumes.

Friday

Beauty and the BeastLive Theater: Beauty and the Beast
Synetic Theater (1800 S. Bell Street)
Time: 8:00 p.m.

Synetic’s unique motion-based performances are staying in town for the holidays, with four shows of Disney classic Beauty and the Beast the weekend between Christmas and New Year’s. Tickets start at $20.

D.C.-based singer-songwriter Lauren Calve and her band perform, with opening acts the Jenny Leigh Band and the Lara Supan Band. Tickets are $12 at the door.

Saturday

Harry Potter posterHarry Potter film series showing

Time: 2:00 p.m.

The Shirlington library will show all eight Harry Potter movies in 10 days, starting with “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” on Saturday. All movie times at the event page.

Garden State Radio is a band that prides itself on a full, interactive experience, with lasers throughout the audience, an HD screen showing fans during the concert and more. $5 cover.
