VHC Health Announces New Board Leadership: John Nguyen as Chair, Dr. Anthony Casolaro as Vice Chair

VHC Health, a leading community health system in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, announces an important leadership update: John Nguyen, CFP, CIMA, has been named Board Chair, and Dr. M. Anthony Casolaro will serve as Vice Chair, effective January 8, 2025.

Nguyen, a dedicated Board member since 2010, brings over a decade of strategic expertise and a deep personal connection to VHC Health, where his family has received care for generations. His philanthropic contributions, including support for hospital programs benefiting patients and staff, reflect his ongoing commitment to the community.

Dr. Casolaro, a respected pulmonologist and educator, brings years of clinical expertise and leadership experience to his new role. His focus on fostering innovation and collaboration positions him to advance VHC Health’s mission of providing high-quality care to the community.

Outgoing Chair Dr. Russell McWey and Vice Chair Dan Knise leave a legacy of impactful service. Dr. McWey’s tenure as Chair included guiding the Board through pivotal projects such as the opening of the Outpatient Pavilion. Knise, a long-time Arlington resident, has played a key role in shaping VHC Health’s strategic vision. Both will remain on the Board to support a seamless transition and continuity in leadership.
