Troop 163 (Arlington’s First & Premier All-Girl Scouting America Troop) is hosting a clothing drive/fundraiser in support of The Clothesline for Arlington Kids on Saturday, March 15th from 1:00-4:00pm at Westover Baptist Church’s (1125 Patrick Henry Drive, Arlington) rear parking lot.
The Clothesline is a local nonprofit that collects quality clothing from the community and distributes it free of charge to low-income school-aged children in a welcoming store. The Clothesline’s goal is to help kids feel comfortable and dignified in the classroom so they can concentrate on learning and hanging out with their peers.
What is needed:
Everyday school clothes in excellent condition. All donations must be clean, stain-free, damage-free, and ready to give to needy families immediately.
Clean Kids clothes (Sizes 4T-16)
Clean Adult clothes in teen styles (Sizes XS-XXL)
New Socks
New Underwear in package
Bras, pajamas, accessories and clean sneakers in excellent condition
New shorts for boys
New swimwear
We Cannot Accept:
Clothes in poor condition: dirty, ripped, stained, pilling, excessive wear, broken zippers, missing buttons
Sports Uniforms, promotional or event shirts
Used Socks and Underwear
Baby/Toddler clothes and shoes (Sizes 0-3)
Toys, books, athletic gear, hangers
