The public is invited to an Arlington Community Health Fair to be held on Saturday, October 18, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, at Carlin Springs Elementary School, 5995 5th Road South, Arlington, VA 22204. The free, family-friendly event, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Arlington, in partnership with VHC Health, will offer vision, diabetes, and blood pressure screenings, Chagas disease testing, and information on nutrition, exercise, and fire safety. The first 100 attendees will receive free flu shots. There will also be children’s activities, information booths representing community safety-net agencies, and children’s book giveaways. Four bikes will be raffled off to participants. This is the 2nd annual Health Fair sponsored by Kiwanis and generously supported by the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation.
