This week: Mark Piggott is an award-winning fantasy and steampunk author and a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer. A native of Phillipsburg, NJ, he served 23 years as a Navy Journalist aboard four aircraft carriers before transitioning to a civilian writing-editor career with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
He published his first novel, Forever Avalon, in 2009 and later signed with Curious Corvid Publishing, releasing several acclaimed titles including Corsair and the Sky Pirates, winner of the 2025 Literary Titan Award. Mark lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife, Georgiene.
