Arlington Pi Day Math Carnival

This Math Carnival event will feature hands-on games and activities for 3rd – 8th graders selected from exceptional math and numeracy organizations.

At tabletop “carnival” stations, volunteers will engage students in fun math games that build understanding across a range of skills—from basic addition and number sense to money management and statistical probability.

We’ve sourced game ideas from our Math Power! Community of Practice members and connected institutions, such as Julia Robinson Math Festival, Math Happens Foundation, Math For Love and the global network of Math Circles.

Math games and puzzles will include math dice, pentomino challenges, domino-based number games, probability activities and more. These playful experiences are designed to make math accessible, collaborative, and fun for learners of all levels.

Door prizes — and food! We’ll give away door prizes (e.g., fun math books, games) and, of course, what would a Pi Day event be without having there being an opportunity to win some free pizza and fruit pie slices from local vendors.

Attendees must register to attend. See event page for more information.
