A series of free summer concerts at the Lubber Run Amphitheater starts this weekend.
The annual Lubber Run Summer Concert series kicks off this Saturday, June 6, with concerts held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 2 at 200 N. Columbus Street.
This year’s lineup features a wealth of talent including King Soul, String Mamas and Latin Grammy-nominated Mamá Elena, as well as tribute acts like The Simon & Garfunkel Songbook and Carly Harvey, who will sing the works of Amy Winehouse.
Local performing groups include the Arlington Children’s Chorus, Encore Stage & Studio and the Arlington Philharmonic.
Arlington Arts partners with the Lubber Run Amphitheater Foundation to host the series each summer, which is free to attend.
Most concerts will take place at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. on Sundays, although there will be no performances on June 19 and July 4 in observance of Juneteenth and Independence Day.
