Film screening of “Daughter of the Light”, a feature-length Tibetan-language documentary by filmmaker Khashem Gyal — a writer, director, cinematographer and producer from the Amdo region of Tibet. This award-winning Tibetan documentary tells the story of a daughter in search of her father on the high plateau of Tibet. The screening will be followed by a post-screening discussion with the filmmaker and award-winning performance artist Sheldon Scott, moderated by Dr. Tashi Rabgey, Research Professor at George Washington University.
