Celebrate National Coming Out Day at UUCA!
Sunday, October 11, 2026 | Immediately following Sunday morning worship (around 11:30am, outdoors on campus)
Join us at UUCA as we celebrate National Coming Out Day with an afternoon of joy, visibility, music, and community—and recommit ourselves to creating a world where everyone can live openly and authentically.
Festivities will include the rededication and ribbon cutting of UUCA’s Rainbow Crosswalk, special guest speakers, a presentation celebrating UUCA’s Welcoming Congregation Renewal, and music from the UUCA Bells Choir.
Then, at 12 noon, stay for a special Social Justice Film & Discussion featuring "Angels and Saints: Eros and Awe", a film by Vic Compher and Rodney Whittenberg. The film explores the harm caused by cultural and religious messages that separate body from spirit and follows LGBTQ+ and other voices as they explore healing, wholeness, creativity, and authentic self-expression through art, nature, music, dance, and poetry. We will have a special appearance by filmmaker Rodney Whittenberg for the discussion!
