The County Board during their 10/20/26 recess meeting (3pm – 10pm) will issue a FAHM proclamation near the beginning of the meeting. My guests and I were instructed to arrive no later than 3:30 pm at the County Board room, ste 307. Mr. Gem Daus and I will accept the proclamation after it's been read. Mr. Gem Daus is responsible for drafting the proclamation and I was responsible for requesting the proclamation. Mr. Gem P. Daus is an award-winning adjunct faculty member of the University of Maryland Asian American Studies Program. By all accounts, this is the first time the County Board will issue a proclamation for FAHM. The event will be short and sweet but memorable for Filipino American Arlingtonians.
