Is your summer camp calendar still open? Consider Art House 7 for your kids, a creative, well-loved space with a fabulous range of quality summer camps for ages 5-14. Your kids will love the imaginative themes and fun teachers. We’ll be making pottery, painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpting. Among our camp themes: modern masters of art, “green” art, animals, fairytales, and folk stories. Our weekly camps are morning or afternoon, Monday-Friday.

Art House 7 is near the Lee Harrison Shopping Center in Arlington. We have a 2-story studio and free parking.

ICA Language Services (ICA), a family-owned, woman-led small business based in Arlington, is celebrating its 40th anniversary, marking decades of supporting the U.S. military and diplomatic community through language training and testing.

Founded in April 1986 as Inlingua Foreign Language Center, a 6-classroom language school, ICA expanded under the leadership of Deidre Doyle, an entrepreneur with a background in organizational management who joined the company the same year. As a military spouse, she had developed a deep understanding of military organizations and culture, helping shape ICA into a trusted provider of language training and testing for military professionals. Doyle became a partner in 1993 and sole owner in 2009, when she changed the name to ICA Language Services.

What happens when the leading lady is murdered on opening night? That’s the mystery at the heart of Curtains, Washington-Liberty High School’s spring musical—and audiences have just a few more chances to find out.

W-L Theater is staging this Tony Award–winning musical comedy through April 18th. Directed by Danny Issa, the show blends backstage drama, a classic whodunnit plot, and plenty of singing, dancing, and romance as a theater-loving detective tries to unmask a killer—while the show must go on.

This Sun. April 19 we have a fabulous opportunity to spend a day with master artist Teresa Oaxaca painting a rose, start to finish! We’ll create life-like, expressive flowers with an iridescent, lush petal and pigment pattern. Teresa is an exceptional teacher who narrates her steps and process as she goes and gives incisive feedback to guide each student.

Art House 7 offers other short sessions you’ll love. Art Night: Matisse-Inspired Flower Painting provides a relaxed evening to create a vibrant painting that incorporates Matisse’s cut-out organic shapes. Wed. April 22, 7-9pm. See all our workshops and Art Nights:

Spring colors are calling. It’s time to create! Art House 7’s April-May Spring Session begins this week (April 7) and offers a variety of mediums for all ages: painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, sculpting, collage, and sewing (embroidery and machine). New for grades 4 to 11: digital art classes, where students will learn how to draw, color, and design dynamic digital creations. For the younger set, we have Art Club, crochet, Arts and Crafts Exploration, and more.

Classes run from 3 weeks to 7 weeks.

This week — April 6 through 11 — every class at EvolveAll Martial Arts and Training Studio is free to try. No experience needed, no membership required.

EvolveAll’s Intro Week is the easiest way to explore everything the studio offers: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Striking, Boxing, Capoeira, Tai Chi Chuan, Self-Defense, Women’s Only Jiu Jitsu, MOTR Pilates, Yoga, Fitness Bootcamp, and Youth Martial Arts for ages 5–15. New ongoing Self-Defense classes and more Fitness Bootcamp options are now on the schedule — two programs that members have been asking for.

APS families, take note: Arlington Public Schools has announced Tuesday, April 21, 2026, as a new day off, and Encore Stage & Studio is ready with a fun, flexible option for students in grades K–5.

Encore’s Holiday Mini Camp offers a full day of theatre games, creativity, and activities inspired by popular movies and themes, all in a supportive space where students can play, imagine, and make new friends. When school’s off, Encore’s on…onstage, that is!

LAST CALL! Spring classes at MoCA start next week! From Printmaking to oil painting to color theory and more, you are sure to find a class that will inspire!

Don’t forget about the kids and teen programs! We have Inspired Artists class for ages 5-7 and Mixed Media Exploration: Miniature Arts for ages 8-10 on Wednesdays. Tuesdays, we have Beyond Drawing for ages 11-14 and Thursdays, we have Figures & Portraits: Drawing from Photos for ages 14-18.
