Early Years Preschool is a small non-profit preschool and parents day out program that has served local families since 1992. Although the preschool is located within Cherrydale Methodist Church, Early Years is an independent preschool program licensed by both Arlington County and the State of Virginia.

Early Years Preschool offers part-time programs for young children between 12 months – 5 years old. Early Years also offers a weekly summer camp in July! The school day is 9:00-2:30, with an early dismissal option at 12:30. Families have the flexibility of registering for 1-3 days/week in their parent’s day out program (12 months – 2 year olds) and 2-5 days/week for their preschool program (3-5 year olds). Families choose their preferred enrollment days!

The YMCA renovation plans would remove all indoor tennis courts from its facilities currently located in Virginia Square / Clarendon. If approved, this change would eliminate the most accessible indoor tennis option in Arlington.

Indoor tennis plays a unique role in community health and recreation. Tennis is a lifelong, social sport that supports cardiovascular health, mobility, balance, and mental well-being for players ranging from children to senior citizens. Unlike many fitness options that are primarily solitary, tennis fosters connection, intergenerational play, and sustained community engagement.
