** Community Advisory Group to the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office
The Community Advisory Group to the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office was formed in 2023 by a group of Arlington volunteers including members of NAACP Arlington Branch’s Criminal Justice Committee and Sheriff Jose Quiroz to increase transparency to the community and offer community suggestions and critiques to the office.
** Community Oversight Board
Arlington’s Community Oversight Board is tasked with independently reviewing and addressing public grievances against the police department and have the power to investigate these complaints and recommend actions.
