Join us in the Bozman Room to hear from Steve Hammond, a genealogist, family historian, Arlington House docent, and descendent of Nancy Syphax who was enslaved at the Decatur House in Washington, D.C. Nancy’s brother Charles Syphax was enslaved at Arlington House in the 1800s. Steve’s presentation includes information about current projects, including efforts to stop and reverse the removal of information and content at the National Park Service site. A light lunch will be served.
