Declaration of Independence Public Reading & Making Revolutionary Protest Signs

Help read the Declaration of Independence at one of the only structures in the county that is old enough to have heard it in 1776, the Ball-Sellers House (c.1750). If you’d like to read a portion of the “Declaration,” please email [email protected] and let us know! You can also make protest signs that colonial Virginians could have used as they protested the king’s actions. Bring your own materials or use ours. Join us for this historic way to commemorate this important date. Come for the history, stay for the free guided tour of this 275-year-old house.
