Part of our Fiber Arts Series, this social meetup offers the opportunity to gather and crochet or knit (please see below dates for specific fiber arts activity).
Crochet:
Hosted by The Crochet Cart Project, this is a chance to get together, be social, and learn some crochet (if you don't already know the basics!). You'll be guided in some simple crochet techniques to create a square, and those squares will all be combined to create a group blanket! Drop by anytime between 2:30pm and 4:00pm.
The Crochet Cart Project is an initiative to spread the joy of knitting and crocheting to all of our neighbors. Look out for the cart at the MoCA Arlington Innovation Studio + Store, where you can enjoy exploring introductory kits with step-by-step instructions, yarn, and whatever else you need.
Knitting:
Join MoCA Arlington and the Crochet Cart Project for a social knitting meet-up! Bring your own work in progress or knit your first stitches at Close-Knit, all are welcome.
Yarns and notions provided for beginner knitters. Or bring your own project and hang with us! Afraid to cast on your first stitches? Looking to build a knitting community? Come join us for some knitting, learn new techniques and make new friends! Drop by anytime between 2:30pm – 4:00pm.
