Join SOLOS 2025 artist Christina Lorena Weisner and DC-area artist Chris Combs for a conversation about Weisner’s solo exhibition Sea Marks: From the High Arctic to the Atlantic. In addition to Weisner’s practice, the two artists will discuss their shared interest in art, technology, and scientific exploration and their experiences as contemporary artists working in proximity to scientific research.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
In Sea Marks, Christina Lorena Weisner presents sculpture, video, and mixed media works that capture the interconnectedness of the earth’s oceanic environments. Focusing on the ocean currents and weather patterns that tie the planet together, her work points to the irreversible impact humans have on the health of the planet and all of its interlocking systems.
