Join us for a day of living history in the Civil War that will include drilling activities, special exhibits, artifacts, reenactors, specialized fort tours, and more. Come learn about Civil War life in Arlington County and beyond at this free event. This is THE Civil War Event in Arlington! This is a do not miss event for Civil War history buffs. Cancelled if raining. The Arlington Historical Society will show artifacts and talk about what life was like for the thousands of US Army troops stationed in and around Arlington to protect the Capital City from potential Confederate attack. Matthew Brady, renowned Civil War photographer who had a studio in our county, will be there to take your picture like he did thousands of US Army troops in Arlington.
