Stand with your neighbors on the bridge where we will have a giant message, and smaller signs, to let Virginians know they can vote the next day, Sunday, October 18. Come hear the honks and wave to the approximately 11,000 passing cars and drivers. Bring your own sign or hold one of ours. (suggested sign messages: Vote Now; Vote Early; VA–Vote Tomorrow; Your Vote is Your Voice; Our Community Votes Early; Democracy Works When We Vote; Protect Our Vote)
You can sign up at https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1060208/. Please do not park in the Econolodge parking lot. You can find neighborhood parking on both sides of the bridge, or take Metro (it's a short walk).
Unlike previous No Kings actions, “No Kings: Vote Early” is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it's a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and ensure every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.
No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.
