Celebrate Stationery Store Day at Open to Being, Arlington’s letterpress studio and shop, on Saturday, August 1 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
A nationwide celebration of independent stationery shops, this free event invites guests to experience the art of letterpress printing, enjoy hands-on activities, and explore beautiful paper goods in a welcoming, community-oriented setting.
Open to Being combines a boutique stationery shop with a working letterpress studio, giving visitors the opportunity to explore vintage presses while shopping for greeting cards, journals, art prints, and thoughtfully curated goods for heart and soul.
Throughout the day, visitors can:
• Explore the letterpress studio and learn about the vintage presses
• Print and mail their own postcard on a vintage press ($5, including postage)
• Contribute to a collaborative envelope art installation featuring messages of hope, gratitude, kindness, and encouragement
• Linger at our table to write a note to someone you care about

Enjoy seasonal baked goods and summer treats from Little Ship Bakery throughout the day, and coffee and seasonal beverages from Brightside Blend (10:00 AM–1:00 PM), available for purchase.
