On Thursday, October 23rd, Cody Chance and Dick Nathan are hosting two free workshops at our office on Cherry Hill Rd. (formerly Lee Highway) in Arlington:
Session #1 – Demystifying Continuing Care Retirement Communities
Have you ever considered a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) for yourself or a loved one? Are you feeling overwhelmed with the options, models, and plans, and not sure where to begin? Join us from 3:30-5:00 for an informative session where we will help you begin to make sense of the types of community, amenities offered, financial models, and help you develop criteria to evaluate what communities might be right for you. Bring your questions, and we’ll get you answers!
Session #2 – Right-Sizing: How to Handle a Lifetime’s Worth of Possessions
From 5:30PM-7:30PM we are hosting another of our free “Right-Sizing Workshops” focused on the topic of “down-sizing.” Every great endeavor begins with a great plan. This workshop will give you the tools to design your plan. We have created a workbook with an extensive planning guide to enable you to design a personalized written plan for your move, and more than twenty pages of resources specific to Northern Virginia to help you along the way! These resources will help you to find the best people to assist you in your move, and help you get the belongings that won’t move with you into the hands of people who will value them.
The workshop format is a “guided group discussion” of the workbook, with a chance for the participants to ask their own questions. We will have a special guest, Alexandra Fry of Orchestrated Moves, who will also share here vast knowledge of right-sizing and move management with those in attendance.
We will be discussing three major themes in this session:
• How to handle a lifetime’s worth of possessions without being overwhelmed
• How to make sure that your legal and financial arrangements reflect your current and future needs
• How to sell your current home and find another that is the “right size” for you
Refreshments will be provided. The event is free, but space is limited – if you would like to attend, please call (703) 531-3324 (this number does not receive texts) or email [email protected] – RSVP required.
