In a serious emergency, the most important minutes often pass before first responders reach the scene. What a bystander does in those minutes can be the difference between life and death. Until Help Arrives is a free, in-person course that teaches you simple, proven actions anyone can take: recognizing a life-threatening injury, controlling severe bleeding with direct pressure and tourniquets, positioning the injured safely, and communicating clearly with 9-1-1. No medical background is needed, just a willingness to step up when it counts. The next session is on October 28 from 5:30 to 8:30 at Lubber Run Community Center.
