Bistro 360: Your Destination for Valentine’s Day Dinner

For many of us, special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and the upcoming Valentine’s Day demand “destination” restaurants in order to make the evening exceptional. That usually involves a bit of travel and typically a lot of money.

This year, you don’t have to go far–or spend much–to reach that special occasion Valentine’s Day destination.

Bistro 360, the restaurant, wine bar and world market at 1800 Wilson Boulevard, is hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner Wednesday, February 14. It’s a four-course, prix fixe menu of some of chef Travis Obertach’s seasonal favorites.

The meal begins with a choice of six appetizers, including braised pork belly, lobster and ginger spring rolls and lo-country she crab soup. The feast ends with a selection of chocolate soufflé, crème Brule, tiramisu or decadent hazelnut torta Nicciola

In between are the salad course–there’s a choice of three–and the entrée, which is where Obertach’s talent really shines: scallop gratin with Gruyere cheese sauce; lump crab, country ham and asparagus; lobster bucatini with lemon butter sauce; chargrilled ribeye in a green peppercorn and Dijon mustard sauce; smoked duck breast with sautéed wild mushrooms; or a roasted vegetable medley with black truffle risotto.

The fixed cost? About the same as a lush dozen roses, $65 per person, not including tax and gratuity. You are on your own for the roses.

Bistro 360 is located at 1800 Wilson Boulevard between Rosslyn and Courthouse Metro stations. Call 703-522-3600 for reservations.
