In 2015 Faccia Luna Pizzeria eclipsed a quarter century in business and was voted BEST PIZZA by the Washington City Paper .
To celebrate this milestone and accomplishment of Best Pizza, Faccia Luna has changed its menu to feature South Street Joey’s ® Big Fat Hoagies and Sandwiches; the option of shrimp on our signature Big Salads; and the introduction of four signature pizzas — the L’Ananas (red pizza with fresh pineapple and black forest ham) the Uova Strapazzate (white pizza with scrambled eggs and cheese), the Tonno e Spinaci (white pizza with spinach, black olives, capers, tuna and lemon evoo), the Patate con Pesto (white pizza with potato and pesto) and finally the Rustic Pizza. Tuesday and Thursday are 1/2 priced wine nights. We have changed our hours to Monday-Thursday 11:30-10pm, Friday and Saturday 11:30-10:30pm and Sunday Noon-10:00pm.
Pizzerias have come and gone, presidents have come and gone, even those critically acclaimed pizzerias have come and gone and still Faccia Luna has met the “Taste of Thyme.” It is a neighborhood kind of a place with operations at Penn State, Clarendon and Old Town serving excellent pizza, fresh pasta, a wine list under $35/bottle along with a 60 bottle craft beer list. It is a destination first-date restaurant with over 300 first dates that have led to marriage. So as we look forward to another quarter century of serving local Washingtonians, we urge those who haven’t dined with us to come in and get the “real deal!” Super good pizza, the Faccia Luna way!!!
