ARLINGTON, VA, Sept. 29, 2026 – The Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) brought together more than 400 animal lovers, raising a total of $11,702 for Arlington animals in need, during the 4th Annual Reason to Rock Music Festival on September 19, 2026 at Solace Outpost in Falls Church, VA. This year’s Reason to Rock event tops previous years’ attendance records.
Reason to Rock Music Festival was founded in 2023 by four local dad band members, Scott Schreiber, Dru Fearing, Gregg Shively and Greg Hamilton. Each year, attendees enjoy a selection of local bands, brews, and the opportunity to learn about the organization their presence supports. AWLA and their mission to support the pets and people of Arlington was selected as this year’s beneficiary.
According to AWLA President/CEO, Lauren Lipsey, “The success of Reason to Rock went beyond just raising critical funds to help animals. We met so many new community members from across northern Virginia who share our love for our pets, and echo our belief in protecting all animals in our community. The opportunity to share with them how AWLA can support them and their pets is invaluable to us and central to what we do.”
In addition to helping people find a best friend through adoption, AWLA supports animals and Arlingtonians through a variety of programs and services addressing food insecurity, access to affordable veterinary care, youth education, and even animal emergency response.
