The Solar Power World Top Solar Contractors list includes Fairfax, VA-based solar firm
(FAIRFAX, VA, July 30 –) Renewable energy is likely to be the fastest growing source of U.S. electricity generation for at least the next two years. As a local solar installer in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C., Fairfax-based solar electric contractor Ipsun Solar provides expert solar electric panels installation services for homes and businesses. Ipsun Solar has been recognized by Solar Power World magazine for its installation efforts, achieving a rank of 373 nationally on the magazine’s 2019 Top Solar Contractors list.
Solar Power World compiles and publishes the Top Solar Contractors list annually to recognize the work completed by solar contractors across the United States. “Solar Power World enjoys assembling the Top Solar Contractors list each year, and our 2019 edition features hundreds of companies making big impacts in local energy markets,” said Kelly Pickerel, editor in chief of Solar Power World. “It’s a great time to be a solar installer.”
The U.S. solar market is expected to see 14% growth in 2019, with over 12 GW of new solar power added to the grid this year — enough to power 2.28 million average American homes. This increase in installations is attributed to strong residential solar interest and a rush to get projects in before the 30% federal investment tax credit steps down to 26% next year, unless extended by Congress, as pending legislation would do.
Ipsun Solar employs 22 workers who installed 338 kiloWatts of solar power in Virginia alone in 2018, and have exceeded that pace by far already in 2019. Ipsun Solar CEO Herve Billiet said, “We are pleased that our solar customers helped us achieve this milestone last year, and that homeowners are choosing us as a B Corporation and a certified carbon neutral company that lives out our vision for the sustainable future we want to see.”
