Arlington Crime Report

The Arlington Police Department has released its crime report for the past week. The report includes new details about last weekend’s abduction and sexual assault, which we reported yesterday.

ARMED ROBBERY/ABDUCTION 02/27/10, 600 block of N. Wakefield Street. On February 27 at 4 am, a man approached two women from behind. He displayed a handgun and forced them into a house. He restrained both women inside, and then forced one to leave the area with him. The victim was found suffering from serious injuries in Prince William County. A suspect was later arrested on separate Abduction charges.

ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO DEFILE 02/27/10, 4500 block of N. 4th St. On February 27 at 3 am, a man approached a woman walking into her house, and forced her inside. He then used a “stun gun” device to stun her on the neck. When she yelled, her roommate woke up and the suspect fled. This case is believed to be connected to the above suspect.

ASSAULT BY MOB-ARREST 100227005/23, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On February 27 at midnight two subjects working together assaulted a security guard at the mall. Police located the offenders nearby. Damon Hart, 18, of Manassas, and Ray Banks, 20, of Arlington, were both charged with Assault by Mob. They were both held on a $3,000 bond.

DWI/HIT AND RUN-ARREST 02/26/10, 1700 block of N. Glebe Road. On February 26 at 2 am, an intoxicated driver struck a police officer in a cruiser on a stationary traffic detail. The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The suspect was apprehended several blocks away. Luis Alonso Argueta-Amaya, 23, of Woodbridge, was charged with DWI and Felony Hit and Run.

BURGLARY 02/24/10, 5100 block of S. 8th Road. On February 23 between 8 am and 8 pm, an unknown subject entered an apartment and stole electronic items. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY 03/01/10, 1200 block of N. Wayne Street. On March 1 between 6:45 am and 7 pm, an unknown subject entered a residence through a patio door and stole laptop computers. There is no suspect description.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY 03/01/10, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. Between 5 pm on February 26, and 7 am on March 1, an unknown subject entered a business suite and stole laptop computers. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 02/25/048/23, 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. On February 25 between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least two vehicles and stole various items. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/01/10, 4900 block of S. 14th Street. Between 8 pm on February 28, and 2 am on March1, an unknown subject entered at least two vehicles and stole various items. There are no known suspects.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/02/10, 3100 block of N. 13th Street and 3000 block of Wilson Blvd. On March 2 between 8 pm and 9 pm, an unknown subject broke a window out of three vehicles to steal items from within. There is no suspect description.
