  • WhatAboutEdgewood

At 5 am on March 2nd, the cops took someone away after some disturbance in the 1400 Block of S. Edgewood. The chaos woke up a lot of people. Where is this incident?

    • The crime reports are not a complete list of crimes and arrests in the county.

      • WhatAboutEdgewood

        Anyway to find them?

        • dss10

          No

        • shenanigans

I think the Thursday WaPo lists the local crimes in the Local Living section.

        • GMo

Not quite as detailed as the Arlington Police report but you can get the complete data on reported crimes using BJS. http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/

  • CW

He breakin’ in yo window, snatchin yo electronics up, trying to take em so you better hide your GPS, hide your iPad..

The police crime report press release does not site all of the police reports filed but rather a selection of police reports. Its funny that you never see and reports for domestic violence or other embarrassing crimes north of Columbia pike…..

    • South Arlington

I actually think the increasing amounts of property crime, burglaries and car thefts in North Arlington is quite embarrassing.

    • Lou

Kind of makes you wonder why they singled out, by name, the north Arlington homeowner involved in the alleged altercation with the county employed leaf truck driver, which was very much a “he said, he said” type situation.

      • Just the Facts

Names are used when an adult is arrested in conjunction with a crime listed on the Crime Report.

I love the constant North Arlington vs. South Arlington rivalry on this blog. When its in jest, I’m totally for it, but when people start getting competitive about which has more crime, it’s just sad. I’ve lived in both N. and S. Arlington and both are pretty lame (thankfully) when it comes to crime. If you want to represent a more dangerous ‘hood, move to Anacostia 🙂

  • Good time

“an unknown male slapped a woman in the face” I bet she was texting or putting her make-up on when she suddenly veered into his lane.

  • notallthatglimmersisgold

As an FYI, the PD cannot release info without approval from the County government’s public relations people…If you download the police scanner app to your cell phones you’ll hear the entirety of all calls.
Most of you should know by now that Arlington hates to air its dirty laundry…I havent read about the attempted kidnappings and sexual assaults in Rosslyn of women walking to their apartments being followed by a black male. Nevermind recent large drug busts in Bluemont, west end of Columbia Pike, and S.Arlington Ridge. 🙂

    • Just the Facts

This is completely untrue. The daily Crime Report is not reviewed by anyone outside of the Police Dept before it is released.
