Crime Report: Road Rage Edition

In this week’s Arlington County crime report, two drivers pulled to the side of the South Carlin Springs Road, near Kenmore Middle School, in an apparent case of road rage. A slap ensued.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY 03/08/11, 200 block of S. Carlin Springs Road. On March 8 at 5:30 pm, the drivers of two vehicles were involved in aggressive driving behavior. Both drivers pulled to the side of the road and an unknown male slapped a woman in the face. The suspect is described as a middle-aged white male with dark blond hair driving a dark colored SUV.

Also in this week’s crime report, a Herndon man was arrested and charged with stealing GPS devices.

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY-ARREST 03/03/11, 6700 block of Lee Highway. On March 3 at 4:30 am, police stopped a subject in possession of several stolen GPS devices. Anthony Ellison, 25, of Herndon, was charged with two counts of Felony Larceny with Intent to Sell.

ROBBERY 03/02/11, 2000 block of Columbia Pike. At noon on March 2, a man assaulted his girlfriend and stole several items from her backpack. Warrants are pending.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY 03/03/11, 400 block of S. 23rd Street. On March 3 at 1 am, an unknown man assaulted a dancer at a bar by grabbing her arm. The suspect is described as an African American male, 6’2″ and 175 lbs. He was wearing a black “pea coat”, jeans and sneakers.

BURGLARY 03/03/11, 1400 block of S. 28th Street. Between 7 pm on February 20, and 7 pm on March 3, an unknown subject entered an apartment and stole various items. There is no suspect description.

BURGLARY 03/04/11, 1400 block of S. Joyce Street. On March 4 between 8 am and 7 pm, an unknown subject entered and apartment and stole various items. There is no suspect description.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY 03/02/11, 4200 block of N. 2nd Road. On March 2 at 5 pm, two men witnessed an unknown subject attempt to “pick the lock” of their apartment. The suspect fled when police were called. The suspect is described as an African American male, 5’9″ with a light complexion and long dreadlocks. He was wearing a black coat and light brown pants.

ATTEMPT BURGLARY 03/06/11, 2000 block of N. 15th Street. On March 6 at 1 am, an unknown man followed a woman to her apartment and knocked on the door. When a male acquaintance answered the door, the suspect attempted to push his way past the door. The victims were able to close the door and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as an Asian male, 6′ and 215 lbs. He was wearing a black leather jacket and glasses.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/04/11, 400 block of S. 12th Street and 1200 block of S. Clark Street. Between 1 am on March 4, and 11 pm on March 5, an unknown subject stole items from at least two vehicles in the same area. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/06/11, 800 block of S. Army Navy Drive. On March 6 between 3 pm and 6 pm, an unknown subject entered at least five vehicles in the same parking garage and stole various electronics. There are no known suspects.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/06/11, 1300 block of N. Stafford Street. On March 6 between 5 pm and 6:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least two cars in the same parking garage. Various items were stolen. There is no suspect description.

LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES) 03/06/11, 4700 block of Lee Highway. On March 6 between 6:45 pm and 7:30 pm, an unknown subject broke into at least three vehicles in a restaurant parking lot. There are no known suspects.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (SERIES) 03/08/11, 2300 block of Crystal Drive. Between 4 pm on March 4, and 3 pm on March 8, an unknown subject damaged at least two vehicles in a parking garage with a pellet gun. There are no known suspects.
