A man was held against his will and sexually assaulted after arriving at the Columbia Pike apartment of a man he met on a dating website, according to this week’s Arlington County crime report.
The incident took place early morning on Monday, Dec. 15, on the 5500 block of Columbia Pike.
The victim “went to the suspect’s residence and after some conversation, the suspect became sexually aggressive and forcefully touched and penetrated the victim’s anus,” according to ACPD spokesman Lt. Kip Malcolm.
“After the victim received a telephone call from a friend, the suspect stopped touching the victim and a short time later, the victim attempted to leave the residence; however the victim’s exit was blocked by the suspect,” Malcolm continued. “The suspect then forcefully touched the victim… again before the victim was able to run out of the residence. The victim immediately called police who investigated the incident.”
The 45-year-old suspect has been charged with abduction. Additional charges are pending.

SEXUAL ASSAULT/ABDUCTION, 141215005, 5500 block of Columbia Pike, The victim told police he was sexually assaulted by a male suspect shortly after arriving at his apartment. Both victim and suspect met through an online dating website. Warrants were obtained and the suspect was arrested and transported to booking where he was charged accordingly. The victim was transported to the hospital for examination and did not sustain any injuries.
Also this week, police reported an incident of sexual battery that took place early Saturday morning.
Police say a woman was touched inappropriately by a cab driver while she was on the way home from a company party in D.C.
SEXUAL BATTERY, 141213014, 900 block of N Stuart St, On 12/13/14 at 0620 hours, a female victim told police she was sexually assaulted. After attending a company party in DC, the victim and some friends went to a nearby bar for some drinks. Shortly thereafter, the victim then decided to return to home without her friends and hailed a cab. The victim states the unknown male suspect cab driver, touched her numerous times during the return trip. Upon arrival near the requested location, the victim fled the vehicle and eventually contacted police. The victim was not injured and could not identify the cab company. The suspect is described as a medium complexion male of Middle Eastern or Indian descent, clean shaven with short hair.
On Sunday, a woman said she was raped by a man she met at a bar in D.C.
RAPE, 141215003, 3400 block of Fairfax Dr, On 12/14/14 a female victim reported to police she had unwanted sexual intercourse with a male subject she met at a bar in DC after consuming several alcoholic beverages. The victim is able to identify the suspect but does not wish to prosecute at this time.

ROBBERY, 141212058, 800 block of S Greenbrier St, On 12/12/14 at 2303 hours, the victim told police he had arranged a meeting to purchase a pair of shoes he saw advertised by an acquaintance on a social media site. The suspect arrived and completed the exchange. Afterwards, the victim was robbed of the shoes by the suspect and fled in a vehicle driven by an accomplice of the suspect. Police were able to identify the suspect through the social media site and he was subsequently arrested at his home.
PETIT LARCENY(SERIES) / DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY / IDENTITY THEFT, 141210047/048/049/050/052/053/054, 1100 block of S Hayes St, On 12/10/14, officers responded to the mall for four female teenage subjects who were stopped by loss prevention officers. During the investigation, one of the subjects, who made several attempts to conceal her identity, was found to be in possession of merchandise stolen from seven different stores and admitted to stealing them today. This subject was arrested and petitions are pending.
BURGLARY, 141211018, 2300 block of S Grant St, Sometime between 2200 hours on 12/10/14 and 0830 hours on 12/11/14, unknown subject(s) gained entry into storage and office areas inside the building by prying locks and breaking glass. It does not appear anything was taken at this time and there are no suspects.
BURGLARY, 141212023, 1100 block of Arlington Blvd, Sometime between 0915 and 0920 hours on 12/12/14, the victim left exited his apartment to go do laundry. His door remained unlocked. Upon his return, he encountered an unknown male exiting who stated he entered the apartment to make plumbing repairs and had left a note. The victim did not find a note and noticed his wallet was not in the location where he left it. The suspect is described as a black male, mid 40s, 5’08”, with no distinguishing marks or language accent. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a white vest, blue jeans.
BURGLARY, 141213013, 5000 block of Wilson Blvd, On 12/13/14 between 0000 and 0010 hours, the victim reported to police his business was burglarized. A video shows an unknown black male, bald, wearing a hooded brown heavy jacket with distinctive horizontal stripes across the back and front, enter at 0005 hours into the register area. He took money from the register and several packs of cigarettes. The suspect is seen leaving west on Wilson Blvd.
DESCTUCTION OF PROPERTY/LARCENY FROM AUTO (SERIES), 141213029/030/031/032/033, 1600 block of Clarendon Blvd, Sometime between 1930 hours on 12/12/14 and 1200 hours on 12/13/14, several vehicles were broken into in a parking garage. Unknown subject(s) pried and broke out front passenger side windows and took sunglasses, phone chargers, and clothing. There is no suspect information at this time.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 141213040, 3000 block of S Buchanan St, On 12/13/14 between 1530 and 1550 hours, the suspect stabbed the victim during a dispute. The suspect and victim are relatives. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. The victim was treated on scene and refused transport to the hospital.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 141213051, 1400 block of S Rolfe St, On 12/13/14 at 2045 hours, police responded for a stabbing. The investigation revealed a husband and wife were arguing for unknown reasons. Their son heard the argument and saw the father striking the mother and intervened. The son as well as the mother sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. The father was arrested and transported to booking where he was charged accordingly.
BURGLARY, 141214017, Unit block of N Glebe Rd, Sometime between 1900 hours on 12/13/14 and 0800 hours on 12/14/14, an unknown subject entered the victim’s shop and stole a laptop. There are no suspects at this time.
ATTEMPTED BREAKING AND ENTERING, 141214018, 6400 block of 27th St N, Sometime between 1000 hours on 12/7/14 and 1200 hours on 12/14/14, subject(s) unknown to the victim attempted to gain access to the home through the patio. It does not appear entry was made and the victim reports no items are missing. There is no suspect information at this time.
BURGLARY, 141215011, 1200 block of S Fern St, Sometime between 1300 hours on 12/13/14 and 0600 hours on 12/15/14, unknown subject(s) broke into a locked toolbox and stole various power and hand tools used at this construction site. There are no suspects at this time.
BURGLARY (LATE), 141215047, 3500 block of S Glebe Rd, Sometime between 2/2014 and 12/14/14 an unknown subject stole several items of jewelry from the victim’s residence. The victim does not wear the jewelry often and did not notice them missing. There is no suspect information at this time.
