Crime Report: Tween Brandishes Knife in 7-Eleven Slurpee Robbery

Police car lightsA middle school-aged perp brandished a knife while stealing a Slurpee from a Crystal City 7-Eleven store, according to this week’s Arlington County crime report.

The incident happened this past Friday, just after 7:00 p.m. Police say a group of five boys ages 11 to 13 entered the 7-Eleven and stole Slurpees.

When the cashier confronted the suspects, one allegedly brandished a knife and made threats, before fleeing the scene on foot.

ROBBERY, 150102041, 400 block of S. 23rd Street. At 7:14 pm on January 2, a group of five juveniles entered a 7-11 and stole slurpees. When the cashier confronted the subjects, one of them brandished a knife and made threatening remarks. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The five suspects were described as black males between 11-13 years old and were wearing dark clothing.

Between 11 pm on January 2 and 4:57 am on January 3, an unknown subject(s) threw a brick through the front glass door of a gas station to gain entry. The subject(s) stole several cartons of cigarettes and damaged additional property. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 150103027, 1500 block of S. 28th Street. Between 8 am on December 22 and 9:27 pm on January 2, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole watches and cash. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 150103039, 1200 block of S. Eads Street. Between noon and 1 pm on January 2, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole several electronic items. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 150104005, 1400 block of S. 28th Street. Between 11 am on December 25 and midnight on January 4, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole electronics. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 150105045, 5000 block of S. 11th Street. Between 7 am on January 4 and 5 am on January 5, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole electronics and cash. There is no suspect(s) description.

PEEPING, 150104034, 1800 block of N. Quinn Street. At 9:51 pm on January 4, a female victim noticed a subject outside of her bedroom window. The subject fled the scene when the victim approached the window. The suspect was wearing a red jacket at the time of the incident.

ATTEMPTED BREAKING & ENTERING, 150106025, 2700 block of N. Clarendon Boulevard. Between 4 pm on January 5 and noon on January 6, an unknown subject(s) attempted to pry open a door to the Apple Store storage room but were unsuccessful. There is no suspect(s) description.
