An unusual crash blocked lanes on I-66 Friday evening.
Three people were hurt, none seriously, in the crash on eastbound I-66 near Patrick Henry Drive, according to the Arlington County Fire Department.
The crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. when a vehicle — it appeared to be a Porsche Cayenne SUV — was being driven down the shoulder of the highway in heavy traffic. It reportedly collided with two other vehicles and flipped on its side.
Traffic camera video posted by local public safety watcher Dave Statter, below, shows the moments before and after the crash. Statter noted that state troopers believe the driver may have been suffering a medical emergency at the time.
