Four Virginia men are facing drug and other charges after a verbal dispute between one of the men and a woman in Arlington.
The incident happened Thursday evening in the Green Valley neighborhood. Police were called after the man “allegedly lifted his shirt, exposing what appeared to be a firearm and made threatening statements.”
The man and three others were arrested after Arlington County police conducted a felony stop on I-395 in rush hour traffic just before the 14th Street Bridge.
The incident was caught on a traffic camera by local public safety watcher Dave Statter.

BRANDISHING, 2024-05020198, 24th Street S. at S. Kenmore Street. At approximately 5:38 p.m. on May 2, police were dispatched to the report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim and male suspect, who are known to each other, were outside a residential building when they became involved in a verbal dispute during which the suspect allegedly lifted his shirt, exposing what appeared to be a firearm and made threatening statements towards her. The suspect subsequently entered a vehicle with three additional male suspects and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the area of northbound I-395 and Boundary Channel Drive. The suspects were taken into custody without incident. During a search of the vehicle, two firearms and suspected narcotics were recovered. [Suspect 1], 34, of Alexandria, Va. was arrested and charged with Brandishing, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of Narcotics. He was held without bond. [Suspect 2], 30, of Woodbridge, Va., [Suspect 3], 27, of Woodbridge, Va. and [Suspect 4], 28, of Woodbridge, Va., were arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana (x4) and Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of Narcotics (x4).
Also in the crime report, three people are facing charges after an early Friday morning fight at Bar Bao in Clarendon.
It’s just the latest in a series of reported violent incidents at the Asian fusion restaurant and nightlife spot, as tracked by Statter.

ASSAULT BY MOB, 2024-05030018, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 1:41 a.m. on May 3, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. The preliminary investigation indicates multiple individuals were involved in a physical altercation outside a business. Officers located one of the involved suspects in the area and attempted to take him into custody, during which he was noncompliant and attempted to flee on foot. With the assistance of additional responding officers, the suspect was taken into custody. Two victims remained on scene and reported minor injuries. An officer also suffered minor injuries. No medical attention was required. [Suspect 1], 26, of Woodbridge, Va. was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery, Obstruction of Justice and Public Intoxication. Additionally, [Suspect 2], 25, of Woodbridge, Va. and [Suspect 3], 24, of Woodbridge, Va. were arrested and charged with Public intoxication. There are no descriptions of the remaining suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
